Stiegl Lemon Radler

Created for thirsty bikers, it‘s apt that the English translation for the german is “cyclist.” the invention of the Radler is largely attributed to Munich innkeeper Franz Kugler in 1922, who had an unexpected influx of bikers one hot summer day and an inadequate supply of beer. Kugler quickly mixed the beer in a 50:50 ratio with lemonade to satisfy and replenish his guests, and thus the Radler was born. a mix of 50% Stiegl lager – brewed according to the bavarian purity law of 1516 – and 50% of lemon juice. This refreshing thirst-quencher without any additives, preservatives or artificial sweeteners benefits those who love low alcohol beers with a fruity touch and increasing refreshment. At only 34 calories per 100 ml, Stiegl Radler has a distinct tart flavour, and the bitterness of the grapefruit is balanced with the malty sweetness of 100% Austrian barley malt (Weinviertel region) and hops (Mühlviertel region) of Salzburg’s favourite lager.
